Set your kids on course for an enriching December adventure, with The Music Circle’s Grow with Music Camp.
Explore the world of music, instruments and composers through exciting activities planned by The Music Circle team. Groove to rhythms and learn to improvise musically through the Dalcroze method, be inspired by history’s great composers through drama and even become little instrument makers, under the guidance of Dalcroze specialist Jerison Harper Lee and piano specialist Dr. Alyssa Koay. This escapade is bound to spark creativity and develop effective communication skills, while building confidence. Through group activities, children will blossom together and learn to be responsible members of a community with peers and teachers.

About the Lead Facilitators:
Jerison Harper Lee, Dalcroze Specialist
Jerison received his Dalcroze training from Institut Jaques-Dalcroze, Geneva and Dalcroze Training Center at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music, studying with internationally renowned Dalcroze teachers. Jerison’s music education was shaped by well-known teachers in Singapore. Besides the piano, he also plays the harp and clarinet and has performed on international stages.
Jerison is able to inspire and draw out the latent musicality in his students. He is eager to spread the wonders of the Dalcroze approach to music educators in Asia and has been invited to give workshop in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Dr Alyssa Koay, Piano Specialist
Alyssa Koay is a music educator who has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician internationally. Alyssa holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder (USA) under the tutelage of Doris Lehnert. She is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships.
Alyssa lectured at the International College of Music (ICOM) in Kuala Lumpur and the University of Colorado-Boulder. With over 6 years of experience teaching music theory, counterpoint, orchestration, music history and ear training, she also develops and teaches online courses in music.
Aside from performing and teaching, Alyssa is also actively involved as a volunteer in community music projects.
Lunch and afternoon tea breaks will be provided on all 3 days.
