Instrumental Academy Performance Classes
We are excited to start off our 2023 Season of Performance Classes! These classes are incredibly beneficial for our students!
1) Boosts Confidence: Performance Classes provide students with a platform to showcase their hard work and progress. By performing in these classes, students can build their confidence and gain motivation in their practising and musical journey.
2) Develops Critical Listening Skills: By listening to other students’ performances and providing feedback, students learn to be attentive and analytical listeners, which can translate to their own playing and practice as well.
3) Develops Communication Skills: Students learn to articulate their thoughts clearly and effectively by providing comments to others during performance classes, which is a valuable skill in many areas of their lives.
4) Fosters a Supportive Community: By providing constructive feedback to their peers, students form a supportive community of musicians, building stronger relationships to help each other grow and develop as musicians.
5) Encourages Reflection: Receiving comments during performance classes encourages students to reflect on their own performances and identify areas of weaknesses and strengths.
6) Gain New Perspectives: Students will receive comments from faculty members and peers, and from the feedback, they will gain new perspectives and incorporate them into their performances.
